The Soissonnais/Valois

A tributary of the Aisne, the Retz was formed from the streams branching out from the national forest of the same name. The route takes walkers in and out of the forest, combining wonderful views and local heritage: the churches in Dommiers and Saint-Pierre-Aigle and the old fortified abbey farm of La Glaux with its Renaissance dwelling and octagonal dovecote.
