It’s early autumn and time for the rutting season!
In late September, at the heart of the forest, the stags start “belling” to attract females during the rut.
You can hear their calls and learn about the deer rut on a walk at nightfall with a specialist guide. The evening ends with a friendly drink and discussion of all you have seen and heard.
