The illustrious author of 240 fables is waiting to meet you in his home where portraits, manuscripts, illustrations, and various objets d’art are the key attractions… Find out more about who the great author really was, and soak up the atmosphere where the fables with their celebrated characters were born!

In the house where the famous writer of fables, Jean de La Fontaine, was born, Jeannot, his mischievous great-nephew has hidden plenty of clues about his uncle’s life and work. Keep your eyes open and give the right answers to the questions… a mysterious treasure awaits you at the end of the visit!
The Jean de la Fontaine Festival
Faithful to tradition, the Jean de La Fontaine Festival involves a range of arts including music, dance, and theatre… Rising talents and renowned artistes are on stage every evening to produce a magical show. Every year, venues for concerts and shows are selected from the finest heritage sites in Château-Thierry, the Marne Valley and the south of the Aisne department.
