AMERICAN REMEMBRANCE

Bois-Belleau, but also the Chemin des Dames, Soissons and the channel of Saint-Quentin... so many places where thousands of American soldiers had been fighting throughout the year 1918 in Aisne. Today, there are still many memorials or graffiti in old pits here and there, including 10,000 graves in three of the six American war cemeteries from the First World War existing in France today. After the war, some Americans took part in the reconstruction of the devastated area. And this is precisely in Blerancourt in the Aisne department that Anne Morgan founded the French National Museum on Franco-American cooperation.
