- The Chemin des Dames (a major theatre of the First World War)

- The Laonnois hills are home to a number of elegant old houses known as ‘vendangeoirs’, a legacy of the region’s wine-growing past.
- ‘Oppidum’ (Gallo-Roman town) of Le Vieux Laon, the villages of Montchâlons (church) and the Château of Festieux
- Traditional villages of Chéret (well, ‘vendangeoirs’) and Bruyères (church, fifteen 17th & 18th century ‘vendangeoirs’).
