Your stay :

Arrive at your hotel in time for dinner. On the following morning you set off for a day’s hike on the Thiérache ‘Axe Vert’ (green road), an old railway line now laid out as a track for walking/riding. Choose between a short route (16 km) or a longer one (26 km), both of which pass between lovely shrub or laid hedges. Sunken lanes and scenic paths take you across the vast meadowlands.
On the final day you go to Marly-Gomont, the departure point of your hike. You will have the chance to explore this village, made famous by the rapper Kamini, as well as enjoying another walk along country lanes, by fields and meadows and with views of the river Oise. Along the way you are sure to see red brick fortified churches standing high above their leafy surroundings.


Your accommodation :

Stay in a 2 star, 3 ‘cheminées’ standard Logis de France hotel in a village at the heart of the Thiérache. There are 20 rooms in a lovely, traditional red brick residence, dating from 1870.
Local specialities and gourmet food in the hotel restaurant, the Auberge du Val d'Oise.


The price includes :

2 nights on half-board terms, excluding drinks and 2 packed lunches, including drinks -Details of walking routes with colour map (IGN) - 1 route card for 2 people.


The price doesn't include :

Transport.


Getting here :

By car : 2h30 from Paris, 1h40 from Lille and 2h from Bruxelles.
